G'day mate!
The Drop Bear Brewery is the UK’s largest non alcoholic brewery. We’re also proud to be the world’s first carbon neutral, alcohol-free brewery.
Joelle and Sarah launched Drop Bear in 2019 from their tiny one bedroom apartment in Mumbles. Having brewed millions of cans of our award-winning non alcoholic beers in other people’s breweries, we opened our very own brewery in 2023… and it’s a big ‘un!
Drop Bears are known to be feisty creatures with an attitude, but don’t worry. Here at Drop Beer Co. we’re a friendly bunch. Feel free to book a brewery tour or pop by to pick up some beers and say hello! There’s nothing like sharing a fresh pint of Drop Bear straight out of the brewhouse.
Brewery history
Purpose built as a brewery back in 2000, the site was established as an iconic real ale brewery for over two decades.
In 2023, Joelle and Sarah Drummond acquired the site with the vision of creating the UK’s largest non alcoholic brewery. A huge renovation took place to
the brewery was acquired by brother and sister team, Connie and Phil Parry in 2002. They established the brewery as the home of an iconic real ale brewery for over 20 years. In 2023, the brewery was purchased by Joelle and Sarah Drummond, establishing the brewery as the UK’s largest non alcoholic brewery.
2023 signalled a new era for the brewery and an exciting new chapter for Drop Bear Beer Co. Pretty symbolic of our approach – honouring tradition whilst embracing innovation.
Carbon Neutral
In 2022 we worked closely with Climate Partner to conduct an in depth analysis of the carbon footprint of our beers and our business from day one of Drop Bear. After analysing our historical footprint, we offset all past emissions and created a strategy for carbon reduction for our future.
We can’t currently reduce all of our emissions at our non alcoholic brewery, but some of the carbon reduction measures we implement include:
- Electric powered brewplant
- Structural innovation for energy use reduction

BREWERY TOURS
We offer non alcoholic brewery tours once a month on the last Saturday of the month. Find out more about our tours here.
TAP ROOM & STORE
Yes, we’re dog friendly! Our tap room and store are open 9-6 Monday – Friday. So pop by with your pooch for a beer and we’ll point you in the direction of some lovely local lake and river walks.

Getting Here:
The Drop Bear Brewery is located on the edge of Fendrod lake in Swansea Enterprise Park.
You can get to us:
By Car: Take Junction 44 of the M4, Follow A48 and Valley Way to Alberto Rd. At Lon Las Interchange, take the 1st exit onto Peniel Green Rd/A48. Once at the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Valley Way. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Valley Way. Turn right onto Alberto Rd. Turn left to stay on Alberto Rd.
Electric car charging is available.
By Bus: Drop Bear is on the regular X13 bus. route. Routes A10 and B4 also call at the brewery.
