So what is Yuzu Pale Ale?

Pale Ale is one of the most popular craft beer styles and Yuzu Pale Ale is an American Pale Ale (APA). APA is a type of beer that originated in the United States and is known for its hop-forward profile and refreshing drinkability. It is a variation of the traditional English Pale Ale, but with a distinct American twist. American Pale Ales typically have a pale to amber colour and a moderate to high hop content, which contributes to its prominent aroma and flavour profile. APA’s often showcase a range of hop flavours, including citrus, pine, and floral notes, with a balanced malt backbone that provides a subtle sweetness to offset the hop bitterness.

How does it taste?

Yuzu is an asian citrus fruit that tastes like a combination of lemons, limes, and grapefruit. Brewed with american hop varieties for notes of citrus and pine, the yuzu additions provide a tart flavour to the beer that is balanced by a masterfully designed blend of malts.

Final Thoughts

Fuelled by our passion for unique new flavours, this American Style Pale Ale, showcases the Asian Yuzu fruit. Packing more personality than your standard pale ale, citrus notes of lemons, limes and grapefruit compliment delicate malt notes of biscuit and toffee for a tart finish.
