On 6th December 2023, the first ever alcohol-free brew took place at the Drop Bear Brewery!
A long road…
We have been brewing our beers in other peoples breweries for four years now, an option that allowed us to get started on this journey but an option that also came with many challenges. Almost three years ago we announced our plans to establish our very own alcohol-free brewery. After exploring many possible sites, we finally found the perfect home for Drop Bear right back where it all began, Swansea.
On 1st August 2023, we finally got the keys to the brewery and we have been hard at work renovating the site ever since. From installing a completely new brewery to painting the tap room…it’s been busy!
On 6th December 2023, the first ever alcohol-free brew in the Drop Bear brewery took place. We brewed one of the two beers we launched with back in 2019, Yuzu Pale Ale. Beginning at 9am, we brewed 4000 litres (the equivalent of 12000 cans) ITV joined us and filmed the momentous occasion.

The very first alcohol-free brew…
The first brew is set to be canned imminently and shared with our loyal fanbase.
Whilst this is the first alcohol-free brew to ever take place in our brewery, it certainly won’t be our last! We can produce 25 million litres of beer annually on this site. That’s a lot of beer!
