Humble beginnings

Drop Bear began in late 2018 in the kitchen of our founders apartment, with just a big saucepan and an even bigger dream. Fast forward to 2023 and our fearless leaders have been invited to No.10 Downing Street not once but twice!

With little experience and even less money, the Drop Bear team have grafted and fought tooth and…claw? to get where we are today. Drop Bear has now raised close to £3m investment and has represented alcohol-free brewers in Government countless times over the past four years.

First alcohol-free brewery Prime Minister?

Could we be on track to see the UK’s first ever brewer turned Prime Minister? Only time will tell. Life’s always a bit better with a great beer in your hand though isn’t it?!

So what took place at No.10 earlier this month? In the company of the Prime Minister and other industry leaders, Joelle and Sarah discussed their plans for alcohol-free brewery, Drop Bear, the current challenges facing UK businesses, and what the business landscape of 2024 might look like.

Considering they started with just a big saucepan in their Swansea apartment, we reckon they’ve come a pretty long way.

What now?

Will one of the Drop Bears ever become Prime Minister? Won’t they? What we do know is they know how to make a cracking alcohol-free beer and if they ran the country half as good as they run the brewery…well we’d all sleep easy.
