Carbon Neutral – Our business and all of our beers are carbon neutral. We’ve measured our historic carbon emissions from day one, we’ve offset them through certified projects, and now we’re reducing our environmental footprint even further.
Vegan Friendly – It’s widely recognised that the dairy industry has a big environmental impact, that’s why we’re keeping lactose out of our beers!
Fully Recyclable – It’s important to us that all of our packaging from cans to boxes is fully recyclable and we encourage our customers to recycle their empty cans and packaging.
Pledges – We’ve proudly taken the government’s Green Growth & Equality pledges, promising to grow sustainably and actively work towards creating a more inclusive world.
B Corp – As of 2021, we are one of the UK’s only B Corp breweries. Being a B Corp means that a company is making a legal commitment to balancing purpose with profit.
Our business and entire range of beers are carbon neutral. We started by partnering up with the experts at Climate Partner to measure the carbon footprint of our beers and company.
In partnership with the experts at Climate Partner, we comprehensively measured scopes 1, 2, and 3 which include things such as offices, employee commuting, brewing, ingredients, packaging, transport, end of life etc. We measured these scopes from day one of Drop Bear way back in 2019…it’s fair to say it took a bit of time! Calculating our carbon emissions means that we’re able to, as a first step, offset them as well as know where I can make the most impactful changes to reduce our environmental footprint.
We’re proud to plant 12 trees per employee per month, ensuring that our commitment to the environment grows with our team, So far we’ve planted over 1000 trees in Mozambique, Madagascar and Nicaragua.
Drop Bear is powered by electric vehicles! When appropriate, we provide the team with an electric vehicle to actively reduce the environmental impact of them travelling to or for work.
When providing a company car is not appropriate, we provide access to the Drop Bear Green Travel Grant which incentivises team members to use public transport or acts as a contribution towards their personal purchase of an electric car.
